
The March 9, 10, 11 indoor event will be located under the wings of the famous “Spruce Goose” in the heart of Oregon’s wine country.
MCMINNVILLE, Ore Fri., Sat., Sun. Mar. 9, 10,11, 2007 The McMinnville Wine & Food Classic has announced new dates and a new location for the 14th annual event. The indoor wine and food event will be held at the Evergreen Aviation Museum off Highway 18 in McMinnville, Ore. Mar. 9, 10 and 11 (two weeks earlier than it has been scheduled in previous years). The Classic was last hosted at the museum in 2001 prior to the grand opening of the world-class facility and served as its most successful venue to-date.
The Evergreen Aviation Museum will be closed regular business hours and will be open only for the McMinnville Wine & Food Classic on Fri., Mar. 9 from 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Sat., Mar. 10 from noon to 9:30 p.m., and Sun., Mar. 11 from 11a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $15.00 per person or $30.00 for a 3 day pass.
Classic guests will enjoy tasting fine wine from Oregon’s foremost wineries and trying a wide range of culinary delicacies. Open to all ages, this event draws attendees from all over the Northwest. In addition to the event, guests will be able to enjoy the museum and over 80 historic aircraft including the famous Spruce Goose, the SR-71 Blackbird and interactive children’s exhibits.
Guests will have the opportunity to learn something new from some of the finest chefs in the northwest; visit with the artisans and view their specialties which are available for purchase, enjoy talking with vintners and learn about the intricacies of wine and wine making and experience wine tasting classes. Wine will be available for purchase by the taste, glass, bottle or case.
The Classic will be offering several special features including free wine glasses sponsored by West Coast Bank for the first 1,000 guests who arrive on Fri., Mar. 9 and a designated driver program that is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon.

The Evergreen Aviation Museum is best known as the home of the world’s largest wooden airplane, the “Spruce Goose”, SR-71 “Blackbird”, the Titan II SLV Missile and the Grumman F6F-3 “Hellcat”.
