Personally guided, age-appropriate group tours are available.
Group tours are followed by an exciting, hands-on seminar/activity
of your choice (with advance arrangement). Activity topics can
be adapted to the class's age/ability level.
|
• |
History of Aviation from people's earliest dreams
to today. |
• |
Science of Flight. This hands-on activity includes a creative
glider building project. Older children will learn the basics
of aerodynamics and the four forces of flight. |
• |
Aviation Scavenger Hunt. Students learn fun facts about the
aviation exhibits while they explore the museum on their own. |
• |
Flight Lab. Custom designed, age appropriate simulations using
state of the art simulator software and specially designed curriculum
to teach the basics of flight, navigation, and aircraft operations. |
• |
A Conversation in History. Many of the museum's volunteers
are veterans with experiences in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. With
prior notification school groups can interview a veteran who
has first hand experience in their area of interest. |
